The 2009 Missouri Life Sciences Day at the State Capitol will be held Tuesday, February 24, at the state capitol and we need your help to make this day a success. Join with leaders in biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, agribiotech, animal health and biomedical research to build support for the issues that matter most to Missouri's bioscience innovators.
Attendees will participate in face-to-face meetings with legislators and state government officials; network at a luncheon featuring a keynote address by the Biotechnology Industry Organization's (BIO) vice president for state government relations Patrick Kelly; and join legislators and their staffs at a private dinner at the Jefferson City Country Club. By joining forces and speaking with one voice, we can successfully advocate the collective economic impact and scientific value of our work.

Attendees are highly encouraged to make advance registrations to assist MOBIO with planning and implementation.
Lunch Briefing, Program. Join members of MOBIO at the G2 Gallery, 102 East High Street, Jefferson City, beginning at 11:30 am. on Tuesday, February 24th. Lunch will begin at noon.
Parking. The best longterm parking recommendation is to use the municipal parking garage on Madison Street, between High Street and Capitol Avenue, directly across from Madison's Cafe. If you are arriving from north of the Missouri River, cross the bridge and exit onto Main Street, the first exit to the right immediately past the bridge. Head East towards the Capitol. Follow Capitol Avenue around the south side of the Capitol continue East to the Governor's Mansion. Turn right onto Madison Street and the entrance to the parking garage will be on your left. Cash only.
Capitol Visits. The early afternoon will afford an excellent opportunity to make appointments and visits with state legislators. MOBIO will provide an up to date status briefing and talking points to assist you in making a coordinated impact.
Leadership Interactions ….. MOBIO will seek out special opportunities in the late afternoon with key leaders who guide their respective legislative chambers.
Legislative Dinner ….. Plan to stay, visit, and dine with interested legislators. The Life Sciences Dinner will be held at the Jefferson City Country Club at 516 S Country Club Drive at 6:00 pm. Those legislators who have attended the BIO Benchmarking tours will be our featured guests, and we will be asking them to invite more of their colleagues. We have a limitation on the size of our dinner, so we will only be able to accomodate the first 50 MOBIO registrants for the dinner event.
