Missouri BIO 2007 Pavilion Exhibit Hub of Activity, Home Base For More Than 200 Missouri Attendees

Our next major event will be announced soon.

BIO 2007 Boston - Missouri: Built for Biotechnology!

  • The Missouri Pavilion at the BIO 2007 Boston conference was a hub of activity, with Governor Matt Blunt leading the state delegation for the second straight year. Missouri's leaders went toe-to-toe with other leaders throughout the biotechnology industry while conducting business in the midst of 23,000 attendees, 1,900 exhibitors, and more than 12,000 business to business interactions. Two hundred members of the Missouri Biotechnology Association descended on the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, marketed biotech in the midwest with a joint blues reception with the Illinois Biotech Organization, and deepened relationships at the Missouri Breakfast. Missouri stakeholders included biotechnology companies, research institutions, the biotech support services industry, economic developers and members of higher education and innovation centers.
  • The Missouri Pavilion was front and center in the Boston Exhibition Hall at BIO 2007 during May 6-9, 2007. Missouri's pavilion served as the gathering place for our attendees and interested partners, there will be multiple opportunities to showcase your company to more that 22,000 international attendees, and our presence will provide an impressive display of the biotech strengths of the Midwest.
  • The state's leaders in life sciences have stepped up and collaborated on the the BIO 2007 initiative to make sure our on-site activities stand out in this international marketplace.   We have worked diligently to ensure a success for this effort, with an emphasis on events and efforts that deepen relationships that can facilitate future deals and collaborations. The united effort and investment to strengthen Missouri’s presence at BIO 2007 advances our statewide economic development objectives.
  • We are looking forward to seeing many of you next year in San Diego at BIO 2008, June 17-20. Thanks to all who joined us for the following two very special events:
  • The Midwest Blues Reception, Parkers Restaurant at the Omni Parker House Hotel, 60 School Street, Boston - Monday, May 7, 2007 6:00 to 9:00 pm. This reception open to all conference attendees was brought to you by the Missouri and Illinois biotech stakeholders. More than 400 attendees used their BIO credentials to get them in the door.
  • The Missouri Breakfast at BIO 2007 with keynote speaker Governor Matt Blunt was held at the Harvard Club Downtown, One Federal Street, 38th Floor Boston MA. The event was held on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. 130 were in attendance this year to hear Blunt, and BIO's Director of State Government Relations Patrick Kelly bring greetings to this second annual event.
